What to wear
Mid-November in central Italy brings cool, crisp weather, but with a little preparation, it can be quite enjoyable. The key is layering! Mornings and evenings tend to be chilly, while afternoons may be milder, so we recommend bringing layers you can easily add or remove throughout the day. A warm sweater or fleece paired with a comfortable jacket will keep you cozy, and during the warmer parts of the day, a long-sleeved shirt might be all you need.
It’s also wise to bring a waterproof jacket or small umbrella, as November occasionally brings some light rain showers. Don’t worry, though—the rain is usually short-lived, and the sun often breaks through, brightening your day.
To help make your packing easier, here’s a quick checklist of essentials!
Packing Checklist:
- Light to medium-weight jacket (preferably waterproof)
- Sweaters or fleece for layering
- Long-sleeved shirts and t-shirts
- Comfortable trousers or jeans
- A small, portable umbrella
- Comfortable shoes (for walking or exploring)
- A hat or scarf for cooler evenings
- Travel-sized sunscreen (even in November, the sun can be strong!)
With these items, you'll be ready to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and warm hospitality of central Italy, no matter the weather. Rest assured, with the right gear, you’ll stay comfortable and prepared!
